Chronology
Set 183 years before the events of the original film trilogy, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim follows the line of Helm Hammerhand, the legendary King of Rohan. A sudden attack by Wulf, a cunning and ruthless Dunlending lord seeking revenge for his father’s death, forces Helm and his people to make a brave last stand at the ancient Hornburg fortress—a mighty stronghold that would later become Helm’s Deep. As her circumstances become increasingly desperate, Hera, Helm’s daughter, must summon the will to lead the resistance against a mortal enemy bent on their destruction.
