Chronology
Charles, who has retired, gets a new lease on life when he answers a private investigator’s ad and becomes an undercover investigator at a nursing home. Michael Schur was inspired to create "A Man On the Inside" after watching the Chilean documentary "The Mole Agent", he says, "The Mole Agent" documentary is powerful because it makes people feel something incredibly similar, regardless of age, ethnicity, or gender, and I would describe that feeling in a very reductive way: “I have to call my mom.” We tried to do a similar thing with our show with tone: basically, does our show contribute to that feeling of wanting to call my mom?
I love Ted Danson!
And he played a very good Widower, stuck in the routine of mourning after the loss of his wife. The show is heartwarming and depicts the necessary companionship of family and friends as we age, especially after the loss of a loved one.
It’s also hilarious and silly in typical Danson fashion
It’s an easy watch, easy laughs with touching moments, and I’m looking forward to season 2! It starts off quick and easy to get into and easily watch all 8 episodes.
And it doesn’t hurt to have a great cast!
I recommend it to anyone who likes silly comedies but wants something good too.
