A unique profile of British pop superstar Robbie Williams… It took a year and a half to get permission to film the lavish dance sequence on Regent Street in London over four nights, as it is actually owned by the British royal family. Two nights before they were scheduled to shoot, after spending a week rehearsing in a studio where they filmed the street, Queen Elizabeth II died and filming had to be postponed. Everyone had to be paid anyway, including the shops and crew, and the production’s insurance didn’t cover losses due to the death of a monarch, so the producers had to raise additional funds to film the sequence, which was filmed five months later. The main character, Robbie Williams, is portrayed as a chimpanzee. Robbie Williams is not actually a chimpanzee.
